The regulations of Japan Society of Women’s Health
Chapter 1 The general |
Article 1. |
The name of this society is Japan Society of Women’s Health. |
Article 2. |
The Society locates the head office in Kyowa Hakko Kogyo

Chapter 2 Purpose and activities |
Article 3. |
The purpose of the Society is to promote the improvement of women’s health, and to contribute to the development of health support for women. |
Article 4. |
In order to aim at the friendship between members and achieve the purpose above, the Society engages in the following activities.
(1) Hosting an annual meeting
(2) Hosting workshops
(3) Issuing the academic journal
(4) Promoting research
(5) Other activities necessary for the achievement of the purpose |
Chapter 3 Membership |
Article 5. |
Membership is open to anyone who is engaged in research into women’s health, and who agrees on the purpose of the Society. Membership is subject to approval by the Governing Board. |
Article 6. |
Those individuals who wish to join the Society are asked to submit the membership application form to the head office. |
Article 7. |
Those who are admitted to the Society by the Governing Board are asked to pay the annual membership fee. |
Article 8. |
The member who failed to pay the fee for more than one year without just cause are supposed to cancel the membership. |
Article 9. |
The membership fee will not be refunded once it is paid. |
Article 10. |
The member who wish to cancel the membership are asked to submit the notice of withdrawal to the Society. |
Chapter 4 Board Member |
Article 11. |
The Governing Board of the Society consists of the following members:
(1) The director
(2) The vice-director
(3) Ten administration officers
(4) Two auditors |
Article 12. |
The director organizes the Governing Board, and manages daily business and urgent matters. |
Article 13. |
Secretaries-general can be included in the Governing Board. The Board put up candidates, and the director nominates them as secretaries-general. |
Article 14. |
The administration officers and the auditors shall serve for a period of four years, and may be reelected. |
Article 15. |
The Governing Board are responsible for the following business:
(1) The director represents the Society, and controls the business.
(2) The vice-director supports the director, and manage the business in place of the director where it is impossible for the director to manage it.
(3) The administration officers organize the Governing Board, and manage daily business and urgent matters.
(4) The auditors inspect the Society’s business, accounts and assets. |
Chapter 5 General Meeting |
Article 16. |
The director convenes a general meeting of the Society every year. When more than one-fifth of the members ask for a general meeting to be held, the director must convene a temporary meeting. In order to hold a general meeting and make decisions, a one-tenth attendance of the members is required. |
Chapter 6 Academic Meeting |
Article 17. |
An academic meeting is held once a year. |
Article 18. |
The chief of the academic meeting hosts the meeting. In the management of the academic meeting, the chief sets up a committee which consists of project members. |
Chapter 7 Journal |
Article 19. |
The Society issues a journal. |
Article 20. |
Editorial board members are responsible for the issue of the journal. |
Chapter 8 Accounting |
Article 21. |
The accounting year starts on April 1, and ends on March 31. |
Article 22. |
Individual membership fee: |
5,000 yen. |
Corporate membership fee: |
50,000 yen. |
Business membership fee: |
100,000 yen |
Student membership fee: |
2,000 yen (excluding graduate students) |

Chapter 9 Amendments |
Article 23. |
Any change in the regulations must be discussed and approved by the Governing Board. |
Supplementary Provision
|
Article 1. |
The regulations go into effect on January 18, 2002. |
